The following is a list of outstanding forward swap contracts with the Federal Reserve and Bank of Japan. They are NOT included in foreign exchange reserves, but can bolster the reserves when credit is taken out, and reduce the reserves when credit expires. The Fed has extended its credit deadline to Oct. 30, 2009 for those nations listed below. Japan's deadlines are April 30, 2009, but may be extended.
